The Celtic Montefortino Helmet was a type of Celtic, and later Roman, military helmet used from around 300 BC through the 1st century AD. It is named after the region of Montefortino in Italy where the original helmet was found in a Celtic burial. Our replica is based on this original helmet that can now be seen in the State Archaeological Museum of Arcevia, Italy.
Our Celtic Montefortino Helmet is constructed from 18 gauge steel with hinged cheek pieces and comes complete with a separate padded arming cap that can be glued in.
