Medieval Tournament Helmet

This style of close helm with bar visor was seen in tournaments and parades. It is also shown in heraldry, where the style of helmet denotes the rank of the owner. Helmets with barred visors are reserved for Peers and the Sovereign.

Our Tournament Helmet is constructed by Italian Armourers following a fine tradition, spanning the centuries, of producing some of the finest armours in Europe.  It is constructed from 20 gauge steel with a lacquered finish. The visor is hinged and tilts. This helmet is not lined and is manufactured for display – although it can be worn if required.
