Wenceslas Style Nasal Helmet – 16 Gauge

This nasal helmet is a replica of one that is on display in Prague Castle that is alleged to have belonged to King Wenceslas, a Czech monarch from the 10^th century. The 1 piece dome construction of this style of helmet was much stronger (but more expensive to produce) than the more popular spangenhelms of the period. The original helmet was damaged at some point in time by impact from a sharp object. The decorations featured on the nasal bar of the original are not shown on our helmet which has been left blank for your own designs.

Our Wenceslas Style Nasal Helmet features a combined nasal and brow band with simple wave decoration. The welded construction is in 16 gauge steel with a fitted leather suspension and chin strap. This helmet is approved by most re-enactment groups.
